Gabriella Chianti

Our Gabriella Chianti is made in one of the finest growing chianti subregions of Florence, Tuscany.

made with 80% Sangiovese, 10% Canaiolo and 5% Merlot this Chianti is brilliant red, nearly purple in color and gives off plenty of fruit characteristics right off the nose such as ripe berries and cherries. In the mouth, the noble tannins are soft, with a dry, velvety and well balanced taste.

This Wine pairs well with roasted meats, bean soups, tomato and meat based pasta dishes and seasoned cheeses.

Tuscany is a region in central Italy. Its Capital Florence is home to some of the world’s most recognizable Renaissance art and architecture. Tuscany is about 23,000 square kilometers (8,900 square miles) in size and a population of about 3.8 million people.

Tuscany produces 90 percent red wine, and that red wine is primarily made of the key grape of Tuscany, Sangiovese. Even though many of the wines of Tuscany are made with the same grapes, they can have varying tastes due to the changing soils and climates.

The territory of Chianti stretches between the cities of Florence and Siena. composed of many hills and mountains. It is known famously for the wine produced in and named for the region, Chianti.

Chianti wine must be made with at least 80 percent Sangiovese grapes. The other 20 percent can be a blend of other grapes permitted in the wine laws of Italy. All grapes must be grown locally within the Chianti region.
